Job Summary The Senior Communications and Public Relations Specialist is crucial in shaping our internal communication strategies and ensuring effective messaging throughout the organization. This role is pivotal in content creation, requiring a quick understanding of concepts, synthesis of information, and the ability to produce comprehensive written material. Reporting directly to the Senior Manager, Communications & Public Relations, you will have the opportunity to impact how we communicate internally and externally. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities Develop and oversee the creation of various company communications materials, such as publications, presentations, newsletters, internal Intranet content, office TV graphics, calendars, and emails, along with external communications when necessary; ensure proper approval processes are followed. Create, manage, and implement a comprehensive content calendar that encompasses both internal and external messaging, ensuring all deadlines are adhered to. Cultivate and maintain effective relationships with internal partners and their teams to foster collaboration. Navigate and prioritize conflicting communication requests and timelines effectively. Keep abreast of the company’s business operations, brand image, and current events to inform communication strategies. Ensure that all activities and messages align with the broader company communications strategy and messaging tone. Utilize established channels to distribute internal communications promptly. Collaborate with our external PR agency on LinkedIn content and graphics. Analyze the effectiveness of communication campaigns and channels, creating monthly engagement analytics and quarterly reports for the executive team. Employ graphic design software to create visuals for internal and external communications while adhering to brand guidelines. Act as the main point of contact for Intranet content management, ensuring content is consistently updated and relevant. Assist with emergency response and crisis communications as required. Support additional workflows within the Communications team as needed. Education and/or Experience Bachelor's Degree in communications, journalism, advertising, marketing, or a related field. 5+ years of communications experience, with a strong preference for experience in corporate settings or agencies. Proven writing expertise. Demonstrated creativity with a background in graphic design. Skills/Specialized Knowledge Excellent written and oral communication skills; a writing assessment may be required. Strong creative design capabilities; a portfolio review may be necessary. Understanding of varied communication channels to effectively convey the company narrative to diverse audiences. Ability to multitask, meet tight deadlines, and thrive under pressure. Strong process-oriented mindset. Familiarity with AP style guidelines. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, Workshop, Adobe Express, and web publishing. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Meticulous attention to detail. Customer service-oriented with strong interpersonal skills. Other Requirements Maintain a professional appearance at all times. Regular attendance is essential; overtime may be necessary. This is a hybrid role, requiring 3 days in office per week. Physical and Mental Demands This position involves long periods of sitting and utilizing office equipment and computers. It may also require occasional light lifting of supplies and materials, up to 20 pounds, in addition to reaching, stooping, standing, and walking. Work Environment This role is situated within a standard office environment, which may be busy and occasionally noisy. Salary Range The salary range for this position is $53,175.00 - $92,170.00, with the potential for an annual discretionary bonus. Compensation will be determined based on skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws.
