HHI Builders is seeking a detail-driven Architectural Designer to transform residential remodeling concepts into clear, buildable, permit-ready construction documents. This key role ensures that our drawings meet the highest standards of accuracy, code compliance, and field usability. As part of a collaborative design-build team, you’ll help bridge client vision, structural feasibility, and construction execution in every project. If you’re passionate about clean, coordinated drawings, love managing fine details, and want to shape the design systems of a fast-growing luxury remodeling firm, this is your opportunity. Who We Are

HHI Builders is a luxury design-build firm focused on high-quality residential remodeling in Hilton Head and Bluffton. We Plan Slow, Execute Fast, ensuring excellence at every step—from design through construction. As we scale toward $10M+ in annual revenue, our Architectural Designer will play a critical role in raising the bar on design standards and ensuring our projects are not only beautiful but also buildable. We work as one team—design, sales, estimating, and production—driven by values of Trust, Craftsmanship, Impact, Elevation, and Exceptionality. Participate in redline meetings and early-phase client meetings where structural guidance is needed. Coordinate closely with the Project Director and Interior Designer to align design vision with execution and budget. Schedule structural engineering walkthroughs and integrate feedback into construction documents. Coordinate exterior site surveys and interior Lidar/Matterport scans; verify all measurements for as-built accuracy. Construction Document Management

Produce accurate, permit-ready construction drawings using Chief Architect, Revit, AutoCAD, or SketchUp. Ensure all plans are clear, code-compliant, and ready for field execution. Oversee and review work completed by the Drafter for accuracy and completeness. Deliver drawing sets on schedule according to established design phase timelines. Software & Technical Oversight

Leverage 3D modeling and visualization tools to support design clarity and client approvals. Provide software guidance and direction to the Drafter, ensuring team efficiency and drawing accuracy. Documentation Standards

Maintain drawing consistency, project documentation standards, and adherence to permitting requirements. Anticipate construction conflicts and ensure documents are fully buildable before field handoff. Qualifications
