work authorization without the need for a written submission by the company to the government agency, or the need for the company to make an entry as the immigration employer of record (e.g., STEM OPT training plan, I-20 Form endorsed for CPT, TN employer, etc.)**# # **Overview:**Identifies, recommends and defends individual investments and/or implementation vehicles to improve portfolio outcomes for clients.## **Primary Responsibilities:*** Collaborate with client-facing colleagues to strengthen their understanding of investment solutions.* Participate in client and prospect meetings to help solidify current relationships and to develop new business.* Develop new and innovative investment ideas.* Analyze portfolio risks, exposures and performance drivers.* Manage and allocate research work to less experienced teammates.* Prepare documentation to communicate portfolio performance, investment options, risks and pending decisions.* Conduct regular meetings and calls to discuss organizational developments, investment strategy and performance/risk.* Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite.
Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.* Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.* Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.* Complete other related duties as assigned.## **Education and Experience Required:**Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience,OR in lieu of a degree,A combined minimum of 9 years’ higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experienceStrong understanding of capital markets and current knowledge of the state of the industryExcellent written and presentation skillsProficient with common industry tools, including Bloomberg, FactSet and Morningstar DirectHighly analytical, research-driven skill setPrior experience communicating insights to internal and external stakeholders## **Education and Experience Preferred:**Minimum of 7 years’ relevant experienceCFA, progress toward obtaining CFA designationAdvanced DegreeNetwork of industry contactsExperience mentoring and developing junior teammatesM&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $128,100.00 - $213,500.00 Annual (USD).
