Job Details / Responsibilities

Bid/proposal preparation, ensure on-time/competitive/accurate estimates, manage client/vendor relationships, documents/plans/specs/requirements; analyze and negotiate sub/vendor/material quotes; contracts; visit sites; estimating meetings; evaluate costs/risks

Lead other estimators, estimate award, transition to project team, maintain bid database records, manage change order estimates, bid strategies, construction codes; follow company estimating policies/procedures

Work 100% in office in either San Jose or Rancho Cordova

Requirements

5+ years of experience as an Estimator on public works structural/site concrete and/or concrete grading/paving projects

Construction or engineering degree is preferred

Computerized estimating software experience required

Strong skills in communication, detail-orientation, issue resolution, relationships, multi-tasking, and negotiations

Solid professional work references

Must pass drug test and background screening
