Overview
Kenilworth Park District is seeking a mature, dynamic, motivated, energetic, fun, and responsible Assistant-Director to lead the Kenilworth Little Springs summer camp program for campers ages 3 to Kindergarten. This is a seasonal, part-time position with the Kenilworth Park District that will work closely with the Park District's seasonal staff.
Little Springs camp has been a part of the Kenilworth Park District for 30+ years. Little Springs is an 8-week-long summer camp that runs from June 9 to August 1, 2025. The camp starts at 9 AM and has two release options: 12:00 PM or the extended day option of 1:30 PM.
Responsibilities
Plan, implement, direct, and evaluate summer camp activities that contribute to the well-being, growth, and development of children ages 3 to 1st Grade.
Prior to the start of the camp season, work as a part of a team that consists of full-time Park District staff members to help plan the camp curriculum and other duties involved in preparing for the season.
Qualifications
Must be 21 years or older, possess a valid driver’s license, have a minimum of two years of experience supervising staff and children, and have a college degree in Education, Recreation, or a related field.
Candidates who do not retain an Education, Recreation, or related degree but have qualified experience will be considered at the discretion of the hiring authority.
