The Project

The Origin School documentary series follows Dr. Rich Blundell through the obstacles of launching this vision in Duxbury Bay and Cape Cod. A neurodivergent kid who failed high school by skipping class to go lobstering is returning forty years later with a PhD to establish a new category of ecological education in his home habitat. Phase I (Spring 2026): Short-form social media series documenting the founding story—negotiations, setbacks, breakthroughs, and the characters who emerge along the way. Phase II (Summer 2026): Expands to capture young adults learning ecological intelligence in the field, building toward a long-form streaming series or feature documentary. This position is for Phase I with opportunity to grow as the project scales. The Role

You'll work creatively with project principal Dr. Rich Blundell in an editorial process to develop the Phase I stories. Your primary job is editorial and media management: organizing raw footage, discovering what matters, editing for social platforms, and managing the full pipeline from capture through posting on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook. Together with Rich, you'll invent a creative workflow. What footage matters? How do we edit? What tells the story? Time is built in for learning technical aspects and finding our rhythm. Phase I Responsibilities

Collaborate with Rich on editorial decisions and story discovery Organize and curate raw footage from freelance videographers Edit video for social platforms Optimize content for YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook specs Post to all platforms—you own the pipeline from footage to live content Build audience presence as the series unfolds Coordinate freelance videographers in the field To Apply
