
Overview
Recreation, Racquets & Activities Manager (Full-Time Seasonal) Reports To: GM/Membership Director Position Summary: The Recreation, Racquets & Activities Coordinator is a highly visible, member-facing seasonal position responsible for supporting and coordinating the Club’s recreational programming. This role assists with day-to-day operations across aquatics, fitness, racquet sports, bocce, and youth programming while helping deliver engaging experiences for members of all ages. This position is designed as a seasonal role with the intention of growing into a full-time opportunity based on performance and Club needs.
Responsibilities
Programming & Recreation Support
Assist with the coordination of pool operations, fitness classes, tennis and pickleball programming, bocce leagues, and kids camps.
Support seasonal leagues, clinics, camps, and special events.
Serve as a friendly, approachable point of contact for members participating in recreation programs.
Aquatics & Pool Support
Assist with supervising pool staff, scheduling coverage, and daily pool operations.
Help ensure safety standards, certifications, and Club policies are followed.
Support swim lessons, pool events, and family pool activities.
Fitness & Wellness
Assist with coordinating fitness class schedules and instructor coverage.
Serve as a liaison between instructors and members to ensure smooth programming and communication.
Racquets & Bocce
Support tennis and pickleball programming, social play, clinics, and leagues.
Assist with bocce league coordination, scheduling, and event logistics.
Youth & Family Programming
Assist with kids camps, youth activities, and family-focused events.
Help ensure proper staffing, safety procedures, and age-appropriate programming.
Communicate with parents regarding schedules, expectations, and program details.
Staff & Operations Support
Assist with training, onboarding, and day-to-day oversight of recreation staff.
Help create schedules and support payroll tracking as needed.
Maintain a positive, service-oriented environment for staff and members.
Communications & Marketing Support
Assist with member communications related to recreation and activities.
Create flyers and simple promotional materials for programs, events, leagues, and camps.
Coordinate with the Membership and Marketing teams to ensure timely and consistent promotion.
Qualifications
Previous experience in recreation, fitness, aquatics, or club programming preferred.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Comfortable working with children, families, and adults in a member-facing role.
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and design tools such as Canva.
CPR, First Aid, and/or Lifeguard Certification preferred (or ability to obtain).
