Position Summary: As a Firefighting Equipment & Component Field Sales Representative, you will play a key role in representing Rosenbauer’s premium products directly to fire departments, municipalities, and industrial emergency response teams. This role combines technical expertise and in-field demonstrations to help fire service customers discover next-generation firefighting tools including the RTE Robot, BEST, FOX Pump, UHPS system, CUTTEX Lance, and other Rosenbauer engineered and built solutions. Your day to day will be working directly with the men and women of the fire service, educating departments and delivering hands-on demonstrations/trainings that showcase Rosenbauer’s commitment to innovation, reliability, and safety.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute a sales plan for your AOR targeting municipal fire departments and private/industrial safety customers.

Conduct live product demonstrations, delivery trainings, and customer visits using a Rosenbauer demo vehicle and equipment.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders (product managers, logistics, service, marketing) to ensure seamless delivery, setup, and post-sale support.

Build and maintain relationships with existing and prospective customers to achieve sales goals and territory growth.

Manage CRM pipeline activities including lead creation, quoting, and order processing.

Represent Rosenbauer at major trade shows (e.g., FDIC, FRI) and regional fire service conferences.

Provide market feedback on product performance, competitive activity, and emerging opportunities.

Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by management to meet the needs of the company.

Qualifications Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA’s):

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

Minimum 3 years of experience in field-based territory sales required.

Minimum 3 years of sales experience in capital equipment, technology, or other consultative solution-based industries preferred.

Strong understanding of firefighting operations, tactics, and equipment functionality; experience as a firefighter is highly preferred.

Proven record of achieving sales growth in a defined territory preferred.

First responder experience preferred.

Excellent communication and presentation skills; comfortability demonstrating highly technical equipment preferred.

Other Qualifications

Able to read, analyze and interpret general trade periodicals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.

Able to write reports and business correspondence.

Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of diverse prospective clients.

Able to follow written and verbal directions and communicate new information that could affect project trajectories.

Able to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.

Able to perform intermediate PC functions with Microsoft Office and CRM.

Able to deal with problems involving a variety of variables in non-standard situations.

Able to analyze product, market, and competitor information so as to lead optimal decision-making with complex sales and generally long sales cycles.

Able to work professionally with customers, dealers, and internal company personnel within engineering, manufacturing, and finance.

Strong attention to detail, negotiation abilities, and business/financial acumen.

Able to apply strategy and mediate between customers/dealerships and Rosenbauer to ensure peak satisfaction from both parties.

Able to manage multiple and diverse projects with analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, problem solving, and decision making.

Able to work with minimal supervision in a team environment.

Able to understand and follow all safety policies to promote a safe working environment for all.

Other

Must be able to travel 75% for this role.

Driving license and ability to travel off site for tradeshows, meetings, or company related events may be required.

Hours of work: ability to work evenings and/or weekends occasionally as needed to meet department needs.

Travel: Local, Overnight, and Prolonged travel may be required.
