This position will report to the Design For Service (DFS) Digital Pre-Assembly (DPA4) and Requirements Manager. The Requirements Specialist is a key driver in ensuring Ford vehicles are engineered for world-class serviceability. You will serve as the authoritative Process Owner for Ford Customer Service Division (FCSD) service requirements and our technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Ford Engineering Design Environment (FEDE) system. This role requires a blend of technical engineering knowledge, process optimization, and cross-functional leadership to bridge the gap between Product Development (PD) and FCSD. Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Automotive Technology, or related technical field Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Product Development, Quality, or Service Engineering Demonstrated proficiency in Ford Engineering Systems, including: FEDE – Managing Requirements, Deviations, Design Rules, and Regulations E2KS – Managing CAD evidence and Requirement compliance Global Integrator – Navigating vehicle-level timing and deliverables WERs – Understanding part design and release levels Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, with proven ability to communicate effectively and build strong relationships across diverse cross-functional teams and various leadership levels Strong organizational and project management skills, with proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while effectively prioritizing and adapting to changing needs Proven ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage oneself effectively to deliver results with minimal direction Analytical abilities to collect, organize and interpret data to help drive decisions and execute projects Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Pivot Tables in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Forms, etc.) Experience with specific tools such as PowerAutomate, FordLLM, and/or advanced SharePoint site creation Ability to lead teams through process transitions and white-space environments Ability to translate complex processes into clear, concise Job Aids and standards Proven ability to advocate for serviceability requirements in cross-functional forums Experience or a strong understanding of the automotive service repair process Responsibilities

Process Owner / Author for FCSD Service and DPA4 Requirements Support the commodity teams in maintaining, updating, and writing new service requirements, details, and test methods as needed Facilitate reviews with the Technical Advisory Group (TAG) and SMEs to validate requirement updates and ensure seamless service interface integration Establish a strategic reporting cadence to track and communicate requirement changes to global DFS teams, maintaining enterprise-wide alignment Collaborate with cross-functional requirement authors to advocate for and integrate serviceability standards into requirements managed outside of FCSD Serve as the primary FCSD representative to the global Technical Standards Group (TSG) and/or TAG, driving serviceability interests within corporate standards Manage FCSD Service Deviations Lead the investigation and implementation of an enhanced deviation reporting format and process change to improve up-front visibility for DFS and drive better serviceability outcomes Create and manage a global service deviations database to ensure data integrity and provide real-time status updates via the DFS SharePoint site Develop and manage service deviation notification and tracking workflow, ensuring all stakeholders are informed from initial request through final disposition FEDE SME for the DFS team Collaborate with DFS Program Managers to develop and validate DVPs (Design Verification Plans), ensuring all service-related testing protocols meet global standards Partner with DFS Commodity Managers to author, maintain, and audit service requirements within FEDE, ensuring technical accuracy and alignment across all commodities Drive team-wide proficiency by developing and publishing standardized Job Aids for DVPs, requirement searches, deviations, and regulatory compliance Serve as the primary liaison and support network between the DFS team and the FEDE Process/Requirement Specialist groups to champion process improvements and streamline system workflows Compensation and Benefits

This position is a salary grade 7 and ranges from $84,480-141,360.
