Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position located in Gastonia, NC, but exceptional remote applicants will be considered. As a Lifecycle & Email Marketing Specialist at TAN Books, you will design, implement, and optimize lifecycle and email marketing campaigns to nurture and engage audiences. Responsibilities include managing email marketing software, developing marketing automation workflows, analyzing campaign performance, and collaborating with teams to support lead generation initiatives. Your work will be instrumental in driving engagement and aligning with TAN Books' mission.
Core Responsibilities
Lifecycle Strategy and Execution
Own the full email lifecycle including acquisition, onboarding, engagement, conversion, retention, and winback
Build the master email calendar aligned with product launches, liturgical seasons, and monthly promotions
Design and optimize automated flows including welcome, post-purchase, abandoned cart, reactivation, and churn prevention
Segmentation and Personalization
Develop advanced segmentation based on behavior, purchase history, and subscription status
Implement dynamic content and targeting strategies
Continuously test messaging, cadence, and offers
Subscription Growth and Retention
Drive conversion into mobile app subscriptions
Develop retention and upsell techniques to reduce churn
Partner cross-functionally to remove friction surfaced through lifecycle data
Performance and Optimization
Track and report lifecycle performance with a revenue-first mindset
Run structured A/B tests
Increase revenue per subscriber over time
Key Performance Indicators
Percentage of total revenue driven by email
Lifecycle conversion rates
Required Qualifications
3-6 years of marketing automation or email marketing experience
Proficiency in Email Marketing Software and Marketing Automation platforms (e.g., Iterable, Klaviyo)
Strong background in A/B testing, personalization, and segmentation
Growth-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across teams
Skills in developing and executing Lead Generation strategies
Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects effectively
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with Catholic theology, tradition, and publications is a plus
B2C E-commerce background
Experience working with subscription-based or digital products
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred
