Qualifications
Prior experience with PR and Social Media. Preferably a Journalism background or media training. Flawless written and spoken English. The ability to write PRs and distribute them. Great professional relationships with writers, journalists, bloggers, and other influencers. The ability to secure media coverage for clients. A profound understanding of online communities as well as content marketing. Experience with services like HARO and Muck Rack. Experience leveraging sites like Reddit, Quora, etc. as a part of PR strategies. Published & placed content on authoritative sites. Great interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, negotiating, influencing, facilitation, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills. The ability to stay highly organized with great attention to detail. The ability to maintain strict confidentiality and discretion. The availability to work 40 hours per week from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm PST. A friendly, outgoing disposition. A reliable workstation with a fast computer, microphone, and speakers, reliable internet and power. Responsibilities
Developing and executing cohesive press releases / creative storylines and pitches for our brands. Identifying trends our brands should take advantage of through custom pitches and storylines. Crafting compelling outreach and refining our current outreach model. Keeping and organizing a PR database. Responding to information requests from the media if needed. Liaising between clients and media. Analyzing various niches and verticals (as well as competition within them). Scrutinizing clients’ websites and identifying linkable assets. Maintaining / engaging with our content creator network and continuing to seek ways to grow our network and number of jobs requested per -month. Locating and vetting viable link prospects and opportunities. Keeping outreach conversations fresh through regular follow-ups. Engaging and interacting via social media. Potentially representing clients’ companies online. Organizing and maintaining multi-faceted campaigns. Helping maintain the organization’s corporate image or brand. Developing custom PR strategies and tactics (based on analysis) for maximum efficiency. Working with our Reporting team to track media coverage, influencer performance and campaign ROI. Compensation
_California, New York, Washington, and Colorado: starting base pay for this position ranges between $15 - $35 per hour. Compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills test performance, geographic location, and seniority of the position offered. Outside of California, New York, Washington, and Colorado compensation may fall outside the above ranges._
