We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established, family-owned funeral home serving Weatherford and surrounding communities. This organization is seeking a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer to join their team during a period of growth and transition. This role is ideal for a dual Texas-licensed professional who values compassion, teamwork, and serving families with dignity and professionalism. Responsibilities
Meet with families to arrange funeral, memorial, burial, and cremation services Direct and oversee visitations, funerals, and graveside services Perform embalming and preparation of remains in accordance with Texas regulations Complete required documentation, including death certificates and permits Coordinate with clergy, cemeteries, crematories, florists, and vendors Participate in rotating on-call schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays Maintain preparation rooms, facilities, and equipment Work collaboratively with a team-oriented staff to meet family needs Ensure compliance with all state, local, and professional standards Qualifications
Active Texas Funeral Director License (required) Active Texas Embalmer License 1-3 years of experience preferred; newly licensed candidates also encouraged to apply Strong communication and organizational skills Compassionate, professional demeanor when working with grieving families Ability to adapt quickly and support a team-based environment Valid Texas driver’s license and clean driving record Must pass background check and drug screening Compensation & Benefits
