Junior Air Import Freight Forwarder
to join its onsite operations team in the Mendota Heights, MN area. This position is newly created due to business growth and increased shipment volume. Leadership is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented freight forwarder with early-career experience who is eager to grow within a structured, fast-paced logistics environment. The ideal candidate is highly process-driven, comfortable managing multiple shipments at once, and confident communicating with customers, overseas partners, and transportation vendors. Job Description: The Air Import Freight Forwarder will support daily air and ocean import operations, managing shipments from origin through final delivery. This role requires hands-on experience with CargoWise, strong organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fully onsite, deadline-driven environment. You’ll work closely with internal teams, international offices, and external vendors to ensure accurate documentation, timely delivery, and excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities: Track and trace air and ocean import shipments using CargoWise Coordinate delivery of air import freight Process ocean import documentation in a timely and accurate manner Communicate with customers, overseas colleagues, airlines, warehouses, and trucking providers Review, audit, and approve vendor invoices, freight charges, and credit notes Manage billing and payment of ocean freight charges Ensure compliance with customer and vendor agreements Support day-to-day operational needs as assigned Qualifications: 2–3 years of experience in freight forwarding or a similar logistics role Air import experience strongly preferred CargoWise experience (1+ year highly preferred) Logistics industry background required Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, onsite environment Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy Strong written and verbal communication skills English required; Mandarin is a plus Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with logistics systems preferred Location:
