A courtroom clerk plays an integral part of our courtroom team by accurately preparing the official record of the hearing's events in a fast-paced environment. They work closely with judges, hearing officers, bailiffs, defense attorneys, prosecuting attorneys, interpreters and other criminal justice partners.\nPAY PROGRESSION ELIGIBLE! Associate's degree supplemented by three (3) years of recent and relevant experience required. ESSENTIALDUTIES:\nProcesses court records in accordance with established procedures/guidelines

Reviews pleadings, orders, judgments, evidence, and other related material in the preparation for court.\nReviews documents to assure/verify information completeness/accuracy, certifying and time/date stamping materials.\nPrepares court docket.

Performs duties of a courtroom clerk

Attends court proceedings, administers oaths to jurors and witnesses, processes related exhibits/evidence, publishes the verdicts, prepares and distributes form orders, and performs other duties as required.\nMaintains records of court proceedings and minutes of the court.\nInteracts with courtroom personnel such as Attorneys, Courtroom Deputy, and Court Reporters in a professional manner.

Performs customer service duties.

Assists customers, in-person, over the telephone and through written correspondence; provides standard/detailed information concerning the work unit, may refer inquiry to the proper department or agency if unable to assist.

Performs other duties of a similar nature/level.\nPrepares and processes correspondence and documentation in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.\nTypical Qualifications
