This is a full-time, hybrid role for an
Account Coordinator
at Strauss Media Strategies, Inc. The position will be fully remote for the foreseeable future. We’re looking for candidates with a background or interest in broadcast media — traditional radio/TV or podcasting/digital video. The ideal candidate has at least one year of professional experience (or strong internship experience) in public relations, media, or a newsroom environment. You should have a strong “make it happen” attitude, the ability to tackle both large and small tasks, and a solid understanding of current events. In this role, you will support a team of media relations professionals across a variety of projects and campaigns. Typical tasks include gathering media clips, drafting media advisories and client reports, conducting background research for upcoming projects, and assisting with new business presentations. You may also be involved with other firm-wide support, including scouting for vendors, working on relaunching websites, and event planning, as needed. This is an excellent opportunity to break into media relations and grow into roles focused on media pitching and client management. Qualifications
At least one year of professional experience, or relevant internships in media, PR, or politics Strong written and verbal communication skills General understanding of public relations and the broadcast news industry Familiarity with cable news, podcasts, and social video platforms Experience with audio, video, or image editing is a plus A very strong grasp of Microsoft Office 365 If you know what Cision is and you\'re not afraid, that\'s a good sign Confidence and a proactive work ethic To Apply
