The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for building and maintaining profitable, long-term customer relationships while actively prospecting new business opportunities. This role serves as the primary external ambassador for the company, demonstrating expert knowledge of our products, services, and capabilities. The Sales Representative acts as a trusted advisor and educator to customers, helping them identify solutions that drive value and growth.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain strong, profitable relationships with existing and new customers. Prospect and secure new accounts through cold calling, referrals, and in-person sales efforts. Maximize sales opportunities by identifying customer needs and recommending appropriate products and services. Represent the company professionally within the business community. Maintain accurate daily and weekly sales activity reports and required documentation. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and successful account management. Strong technical aptitude with solid math skills. Proficiency with computers and sales-related software. Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and influence others. Self-motivated, goal-driven, and comfortable working independently. Strong problem-solving abilities and a positive, can-do attitude. Team-oriented with a strong customer-first mindset. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Persuasive sales aptitude and confidence in cold calling. Comfortable working within a salary-plus-bonus compensation structure.
