Senior Business Development Manager, Corporate Membership Location
Full-Time, Remote position from a state Crain does business in working Pacific Time Zone. Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Business Development representative to own and drive Corporate Membership renewals and new member sales within the Corporate Membership Division. This is a quota-carrying sales role. Success requires consistent execution of sales fundamentals — prospecting, value-based selling, objection handling, closing, and pipeline management — in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. The ideal candidate is a disciplined salesperson who is motivated by performance goals, comfortable with accountability, and skilled at selling recurring, subscription-based offerings. In addition to thriving in a fast-paced environment, this individual excels at written and verbal communication, and is highly organized, proactive and adept with technology. Key Responsibilities
Sales & Revenue Ownership: Own a defined portfolio of Corporate Membership renewals and new sales opportunities.
Proactively manage renewal conversations as sales engagements, not administrative transactions.
Consistently meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly sales and renewal targets.
Confidently handle objections, negotiate, and close opportunities.
Value-Based Selling: Develop strong product knowledge to clearly communicate the value of SIA research and membership benefits.
Conduct membership and platform overviews that align solutions to customer goals.
Articulate membership value through clear, compelling written and verbal communication.
Pipeline & CRM Discipline: Maintain full ownership of opportunities throughout the sales cycle using NetSuite CRM.
Ensure accurate pipeline management, forecasting, and follow-up.
Operate with strong organization, prioritization, and sales cadence.
Collaboration & Representation: Partner with Research Analysts and internal teams to support member success and retention.
Represent SIA professionally in all member interactions.
Participate in SIA-hosted industry events and conferences as needed.
Represent SIA at events to drive brand visibility.
Qualifications
BS or BA
5+ years’ business development experience in B2B or professional services environment
High transaction_subscription sales a plus
Proven track record of successfully meeting quotas
Experience working with CRM systems, digital platforms, or member portals (Salesforce or similar tools a plus)
Comfortable interacting with all levels of business executives/business owners
A professional and courteous demeanor with a passion for delivering high-touch member experience
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational abilities with excellent attention to detail
Proactive, self-motivated, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
Comfortable working in a remote environment
Experience in the staffing business is a plus!
This position is exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay. Pay Transparency Disclosure
The estimated base salary range for this position is $83,000-$85,000, in addition to being eligible for a sales commission plan. The final salary offering will take into account a wide range of factors, including experience, accomplishments and location. The salary range provided should not be considered as a salary limit or cap.
