Job Description My client, a national CPA and Advisory firm, is seeking an experienced Tax Manager or Senior Manager with strong Commercial Real Estate experience for their Boston office. This is a hybrid role so only local candidates will be considered.
The successful candidate will have:
Responsibilities
Responsibilities — Manager
You will be responsible for managing all aspects of client relationships.
You will help generate opportunities within existing clients, as well as meeting with and pursuing new clients.
You will develop a thorough understanding of all audit, tax and consulting services provided by the firm, and actively participate in proposals.
Work with a team to meet various department deadlines throughout the year.
Assist with the process and review of 1065 tax returns.
Responsibilities — Senior Manager
Serve as the Engagement Manager on specific client accounts, taking responsibility for pre-engagement planning, execution, final deliverable development, and billing and collections.
Develop a detailed engagement work plan, illustrating budgets and schedules. Monitor project status against the work plan and communicate schedule adjustments to management.
Develop a professional relationship with the client. Gain the respect and confidence of the client by consistently demonstrating excellent customer service, quality work products, and professional integrity.
Serve as the prime point-of-contact to the client. Ensure that the client is fully informed of engagement progress and logistics.

Job Requirements Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree required; Master's in Accounting/Taxation preferred
CPA, JD or EA required
Minimum of 6 years of progressive tax experience, including compliance and multi-state tax matters
1+ years of supervisory experience
Commercial real estate experience required
Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships
Ability to lead, manage and develop staff in a highly interactive team environment
Proven technical skills with MS Office to include Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
Competence with tax compliance and research software to include CCH Axcess, BNA portfolio and projection, RIA Checkpoint
Solid project management and organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to multi-task
