Make your mark in Information Technology

At AIG, technology is at the heart of everything we do, from underwriting risks to processing claims. The Information Technology team equips our colleagues with the latest tools to complete their work efficiently and with the highest standards of excellence. The team is responsible for shielding the company's systems from security risks, while designing technology strategies that enable AIG's businesses to achieve their goals. AIG's Information Technology functions include enterprise architecture, software and systems engineering, cybersecurity, and technology risk and compliance.

Responsibilities

Lead the design process by employing Figma and our design system to create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups that effectively communicate design concepts and solutions

Partner with CX Research to define approach to identifying user pain points and opportunities. Identify design problems and create intuitive and engaging customer experiences.

Collaborate with global technology, product and business teams to balance user needs with business goals.

Review and analyze and ensure quality design requirements

Design within existing standards and contributing to our design system and help develop scalable patterns and components that follow AIG Brand standards and universal design principles

Manage and present project deliverables along with design rationale.

Work closely with developers to ensure seamless implementation of designs.

Qualifications

Some product design experience taking ownership, driving understanding, and delivering products in cross-functional teams from start-to-finish

Bachelor's Degree preferably in a relevant design discipline, certification or equivalent work experience

Self-starter capable of identifying opportunities and delivering solutions on their own

Well-versed in responsive web design and mobile/native platform, and an aptitude for exploring new technologies and methodologies

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with high-energy and mission-driven colleagues.

Exposure to product design practices like ideation, storytelling, prototyping, design frameworks, concept visualization, problem-framing and design principles

Good organization, with the ability to clearly communicate ideas and design principles

Strong writing, editing, and communication skills

Experience working within and contributing to an established design system

Expertise in design tools such as Figma

Familiar with front-end technologies such as Angular, HTML, CSS

Portfolio of work strongly preferred; demonstrating strategic design thinking

Insurance or Banking experience (a plus, but not required)
