
Overview
We’re looking for a senior short-form video editor who combines: strong technical execution (animation, motion graphics, polish) a deep, practical understanding of what actually performs on social platforms This is not a “caption editor” role, and it’s not about copying a single house style. Our work spans multiple formats and tones—UGC, VO-driven ads, music-led pieces, premium brand storytelling—but the through line is always the same: clarity, pacing, judgment, and performance awareness. What you’ll be working on
Short-form paid social video (primarily 9×16) A wide range of styles, including: creator-led / UGC-style edits music-led, visually driven pieces You’ll be expected to adapt your approach to the material, not force everything into one look. Qualifications & fit
This role is for you if: You have excellent technical chops (clean animation, motion graphics, text treatment) You understand pacing as a storytelling tool, not just speed You know how to guide attention visually, not just decorate footage You’ve edited work that was built to perform on social, not just look good You’re comfortable making judgment calls without heavy direction, but also take clear, decisive feedback in stride This role is not for you if: Your editing relies primarily on templates or pre-built caption styles You treat captions as the main creative device You struggle to adjust style based on audience, platform, or objective You need constant creative direction to get to a strong cut What you’ll actually do
Edit short-form ads from raw footage through final delivery Apply animation and motion graphics in service of the story Shape pacing, rhythm, and structure with performance in mind Deliver thoughtful, finished edits with minimal iteration This is a role for someone who can be entrusted with real creative responsibility. After Effects (strongly preferred) Comfort working across different footage types and creative briefs How to apply
