Overview Hearst StoryStudio is the branded content and custom storytelling arm of Hearst Newspapers and Broadcast. Since launching in 2016, StoryStudio has produced more than 10,000 stories for brand partners across industries including travel, nonprofit, real estate, finance, retail, healthcare, and more. The Role The StoryStudio Senior Creative Strategist plays a critical role in shaping and amplifying the StoryStudio brand. This position is responsible for developing go-to-market strategies, managing sales and marketing collateral, growing inbound demand, and supporting business development efforts across Hearst’s expansive media portfolio. You’ll work closely with the StoryStudio President, Director, Business Development Manager, and Research team to ensure our marketing efforts drive awareness, engagement, and revenue.

Key Responsibilities

Brand & Go-to-Market Strategy: Develop and manage StoryStudio’s brand voice and go-to-market strategy in partnership with the StoryStudio Director and President.

Brand & Go-to-Market Strategy: Create audience narratives and client-facing materials that support sales and brand positioning.

Sales & Marketing Enablement: Develop, maintain, and organize sales collateral including case studies, vertical presentations, and pitch materials.

Sales & Marketing Enablement: Manage all incoming sales marketing material requests and proactively create new assets.

Sales & Marketing Enablement: Maintain an up-to-date content and asset library, including Google Drive and HearstStoryStudio.com.

Content & Digital Marketing: Build and manage a content and editorial calendar across blogs, whitepapers, ebooks, reports, webinars, infographics, and more.

Content & Digital Marketing: Create and schedule social media content to grow and strengthen the Hearst StoryStudio presence.

Content & Digital Marketing: Develop lead-generation initiatives through landing pages, calls-to-action, and gated content.

Inbound Marketing & Analytics: Support inbound marketing, marketing automation, and lead-nurturing efforts in partnership with the Business Development Manager and President.

Inbound Marketing & Analytics: Review and analyze performance metrics to understand how marketing activity converts into leads and customers, and continuously refine strategy.

Events & Research: Coordinate an event strategy that leverages speaking opportunities, conferences, and industry presence.

Events & Research: Partner with the Research Manager to package insights, statistics, and analysis for sales collateral and digital publishing.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree required

Previous marketing experience preferred

Strong knowledge of inbound marketing, digital marketing, social media advertising, and content strategy

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a creative, data-driven mindset

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment where priorities may shift

Experience with marketing automation and content platforms to drive traffic, convert leads, and nurture prospects

The base salary for this role is between $90,000 – $110,000. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
