POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly motivated Junior Product Designer to support our Design Services function and the broader product design team. This is an entry-level role ideal for a recent Product Design graduate who is eager to learn how furniture moves from concept to production inside a brand-led organization. This position will primarily focus on translating tight creative briefs into clear, accurate product drawings for our parent and sub-brands. You will manage design development iterations, revisions, refinements, and documentation through the design phase, and support the handoff into engineering, product development, and merchandising. During construction, you will assist in the oversight of the product build to ensure that what gets produced follows the original brief, design intent, proportions, and key details. The role will also support custom design requests for hospitality and contract projects as needed. Primary Responsibilities

Execute product drawings and design documentation based on detailed creative briefs, reference imagery, and direction from senior merchandising and creative leadership. Develop clear, accurate design packages throughout the design phase, including sketches, refined drawings, and presentation-ready materials as required. Manage design development revisions efficiently: incorporating feedback, tracking changes, and maintaining version control and file organization. Prepare and maintain design specs and detail callouts (dimensions, proportions, materials, finishes, seam placement, hardware, etc.) to support engineering and production alignment. Partner with Merchandising, Engineering, and Product Development to support the transition from design to build; review technical drawings and prototypes to ensure design intent is preserved. Gain a deep understanding of complex mechanisms and how to design around them. Participate in product reviews (e.g., CAD reviews, sample reviews, prototype reviews) and document needed updates or approvals. Support quality and consistency across product lines by adhering to brand design standards, construction guidelines, and established design systems. Assist with custom product design requests for hospitality/contract projects, including adapting existing designs or drafting new solutions under supervision. Organize and maintain design files and project documentation to support cross-functional workflows and on-time execution. Support internal communication between design, engineering, and merchandising/marketing partners to ensure updates are captured and timelines are met. Other duties as required. Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, Furniture Design, or a related field (required). Strong drawing and visualization skills with the ability to translate direction into clean, build-ready product drawings. Proficiency in relevant design software (examples may include SolidWorks, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite). Strong attention to detail—dimensions, proportionality, construction logic, and consistency across iterations. Ability to take diverse feedback well and iterate quickly without losing the intent of the brief. Organized and process-driven; comfortable managing multiple small projects and revisions simultaneously. Curiosity and eagerness to learn furniture construction methods, upholstery/woodworking practices, and engineering constraints. Clear communication skills and an organized and collaborative working style; comfortable coordinating with engineering and production partners. Portfolio (school or internship work) demonstrating product drawings, process, and development thinking is required. Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Product Design / Industrial Design (or equivalent) required. 0–1 years of professional experience (internships/co-ops strongly preferred); this is an entry-level role, and recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Demonstrated ability to create high-quality product drawings and iterate designs based on direction and constraints. Ability to manage files and documentation with strong organization and version control practices. Ability to work in the office as required and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
