"Sr Manager, Public Affairs" at Gilead is a leadership role within the Public Affairs group. The position requires strong knowledge and experience in media relations, collaboration with other departments, and familiarity with FDA and SEC regulations as they apply to corporate communications. Responsibilities
Develop and implement corporate and/or product media relations strategy to support the company’s positioning within the industry and among target audiences. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including senior-level colleagues, to develop and implement moderately complex strategies and programs to meet the company’s goals. Examine moderately complex issues from a broader organizational perspective and make recommendations to management, determining priorities within the Public Affairs group. Draft and distribute news releases, presentations and supporting communications materials; independently present ideas and initiate programs to meet public relations goals. Oversee moderately complex projects and budgets for external PR agencies and may oversee execution of projects by Public Affairs team members. Represent Gilead in interviews with the media and in meetings with external audiences including physicians and patient groups. Education & Experience
Requires a BA degree in communications, liberal arts, business or science-oriented field and minimum 8 years of relevant experience, including 6–8 years specific to this position. Salary and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $146,540.00 – $189,640.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. This position may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary by role), paid time off, and a benefits package. Benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans. Eligible employees may participate in benefit plans subject to terms and conditions. Additional Information
