The Catering Sales Manager position focuses on Weddings & Social Events. This role is perfect for a passionate wedding and social events professional who thrives on creativity, connection, and seeing an event come together flawlessly. Job Summary

Sales & Business Development Proactively source, sell, and book

weddings and social celebrations , including ceremonies, receptions, rehearsal dinners, bridal showers, milestone birthdays, and signature social events (with some meetings and corporate events mixed in). Manage a dedicated weddings & social events market segment while consistently achieving individual and department revenue goals. Create, customize, and negotiate catering contracts, menus, and event orders in alignment with Marriott brand standards. Confidently upsell food & beverage enhancements, specialty bars, décor upgrades, audiovisual elements, and personalized touches to elevate the guest experience and drive revenue. Wedding & Event Planning Experience

Serve as the

main point of contact

for couples and social clients from first inquiry to the final dance. Create detailed Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) that clearly communicate every meaningful detail to hotel teams. Host site tours, tastings, and planning meetings that leave clients feeling excited, supported, and confident in their big day. Be present on event days to ensure timelines flow smoothly, details shine, and Marriott service standards are exceeded. Client Relationships & Vendor Connections

Build genuine relationships with couples, families, planners, and preferred vendors. Deliver timely communication, thoughtful follow-up, and a personalized planning experience. Handle last-minute changes and client concerns with grace, professionalism, and calm confidence. Team Collaboration

Partner closely with Banquets, Culinary, Front Office, and Sales teams to bring events to life seamlessly. Participate in weekly sales and event meetings to align on upcoming celebrations and priorities. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in CI/TY. Administrative & Revenue Focus

Track sales activity, forecasts, and pipeline performance with strong attention to detail. Prepare sales updates and reports as requested by leadership. Follow Marriott brand standards, SOPs, and revenue management strategies. What We’re Looking For

2–3 years of catering or hotel sales experience, ideally with weddings and social events in a full-service hotel. Marriott brand experience strongly preferred. A true passion for weddings, celebrations, and creating memorable experiences. Skills & Style

Confident sales, negotiation, and closing abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication (you love email timelines and happy clients). Highly organized with an eye for detail and aesthetics. Comfortable juggling multiple events and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as events require. Schedule

Tuesday through Saturday schedule (Perfect for weekend wedding energy) Physical Requirements

Ability to move throughout hotel event spaces and stand for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally. Ability to work longer hours during peak wedding and event seasons. Benefits
