The Sales Manager is responsible for directing the short and long-term sales, marketing, and product development programs targeted toward existing and new markets in the Greater Los Angeles area.
Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Directs the sales, marketing, and product development programs, both short and long-term, targeted towards existing and new markets in the Inland Empire.
Evaluates and implements appropriate new sales techniques to increase the department's sales volume.
Develops and delivers sales presentations and close sales in a professional and effective manner.
Ensures prices is in line with profit goals (based on estimates).
Manages sold jobs and ensures the field is properly informed via pre-job meetings, etc.
Acts as advisor to sales team regarding projects, tasks, and operations.
Ensures that sales team make sales contacts, research customer needs and develop application of products and services in an effective manner.
Maintains up-to-date understanding of industry trends and technical developments that effect target markets.
Establishes and maintains industry contacts that lead to sales.
Participates in industry functions/organizations to further market the Company.
Qualifications Skills and experience that an ideal Sales Manager would possess are:
Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university.
5-7 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Outside sales experience within the landscape or construction industry highly preferred.
Familiarity with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
Ability to meet objectives and achieve financial projections.
Excellent organizational and analytical skills and strategic thinking.
Ability to communicate effectively with clients and all levels of personnel.
