Position Overview The New Jersey Devils (NHL) are adding to their Ticket Sales Leadership Team by seeking an Inside Sales Manager to provide leadership and mentorship to 16-20 entry-level sales associates. Responsibilities include recruiting, hiring, training, driving accountability, fostering culture and delivering results. The Inside Sales Manager will develop coaching and leadership skills and build a foundation for personal career growth while directly supporting the growth of others.
Responsibilities
Recruit, interview, hire, train, and develop Sales Associates with a focus on generating and increasing new sales revenue.
Support growth of new sales revenue within full-season, partial-plan, group sales, and premium sales.
Lead, motivate, develop, and retain Sales Associate staff for future succession within HBSE.
Monitor, manage, and evaluate Sales Associate performance; establish clear sales revenue and training goals and provide feedback for development.
Oversee initial on-sale events for new membership sales and group sales; manage timelines, e-marketing campaigns, in-game and external marketing integration, inventory, and online activation.
Develop department business plans, training strategies, scripts, policies, and procedures.
Collaborate with other managers on strategic call campaigns, new sales packages, and opportunities for growth.
Develop and execute relationships with Creative, CRM, Game Operations, and Community departments.
Resolve seating problems/concerns related to new sales.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Must have at least 3+ years of experience in a sales position with a proven record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Communications, or Sport Management preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Proficiency in Archtics or similar ticketing software is a plus.
Must be organized, creative, enthusiastic, analytical, and possess excellent interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions
Travel: May be required to travel occasionally between HBSE offices; trips may include air travel and overnight stays.
Work Environment: Primarily based at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ, with attendance at events there.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
Compensation and Benefits The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be $65,000 per year. Base pay may vary based on location, knowledge, skills and experience. The total compensation package includes commission and an Inside Sales team performance bonus. The position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify pay and other compensation programs.
The benefits package may include: Medical/Dental/Vision/FSA, pretax transportation benefit, parental leave policies, 401K with company match after 1 year, paid time off, 13 paid holidays, half-day Summer Fridays, complimentary or discounted sports & concert tickets, on-site fitness facilities, and other league/partner discounts.
