Our public, growing, company based in Palo Alto, is looking for a strong Senior Tax Analyst to start ASAP! The role is working hybrid at least two days a week (Tue, Wed). Highly preferred is someone passionate about joining Palantir and growing with the company long term. Seeking a Senior Tax Analyst or Tax Manager with progressive income tax experience to support federal, state, and local tax compliance and review activities in a fast-paced environment. This role emphasizes technical review, accuracy, and ownership, rather than heavy calculation from scratch. Ideal Candidate Profile

Bachelor's degree in tax, accounting, or related field Solid knowledge of US Income Taxes 4-7+ years experience as a Tax Analyst/Senior Tax Analyst Ability to support a fast-paced tax function during peak compliance season. Ability to focus on income tax (especially state) with emphasis on review, audit support, and detailed workpaper analysis, rather than heavy calculations. Critical Tasks (Top 3 Priorities)

Strong experience with apportionment factor workpapers State income tax experience (must-have) Extremely detail-oriented; comfortable with large, complex Excel files Responsibilities

Review detailed tax work prepared by PwC Support federal (1120) and state income tax compliance Review and validate: Taxable income (TI) workpapers State apportionment factor workpapers Large, complex Excel files Identify errors, inconsistencies, and issues in returns Assist with audit support Book tax-related entries as needed Review Federal, State, and Local income tax calculations, workpapers, and supporting schedules for accuracy, completeness, and consistency Identify errors, inconsistencies, and risks in tax filings and underlying workpapers Assist with preparation and review of supporting schedules, including: State estimates and extensions Apportionment factor workpapers Support local tax filings and reviews, including: Property tax Sales and use tax Provide audit support, including responding to tax notices and inquiries Research technical tax issues and propose practical, well-supported solutions Take ownership of assignments from start to finish, meeting deadlines with minimal oversight Note: This role is more about review, accuracy, and judgment than building calculations from scratch.
