Overview
Montessori Family and Community Engagement Coordinator
The Family and Community Engagement Coordinator (FACE) is responsible for supporting, empowering, and advocating for students and families through information, education, and community resources. The Family and Community Engagement Coordinator has a pivoted role in developing/enhancing relationships with the children and families of CREC magnet schools and with community members.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Principal to create a welcoming and inclusive environment.
Maintain open and consistent communication with families about school and community events and opportunities via email, social media, newsletter, phone calls, and text.
Work closely with the attendance team in monitoring student attendance, including excused and unexcused absences and tardiness.
Actively participate in recruitment fairs and support marketing efforts within the school and community to promote our schools and attract new families.
Build relationships and collaborate with the community (e.g. faith-based organizations, family support, health services, etc.).
Facilitate evening meetings and activities that require individuals to accommodate a flexible schedule (e.g. home visits, parent meetings, family-related events, community events).
Assist families in navigating the educational system by providing comprehensive support during the PPT (Planning and Placement Team) process, by helping parents articulate their concerns, and by ensuring their voices are heard and understood.
Handle challenging or emotional situations, particularly when supporting families in crisis or during conflict resolution.
Comply with all company policies and procedures.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university, OR one to two years of related experience and/or training, OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
Travel Requirements Occasional travel to participate in field experiences in the community with students and staff, and home visits to families as needed. Travel to school district buildings and professional meetings as required.
