As a trusted partner to the Federal Aviation Administration, Peraton delivers the technology and expertise that keep the nation’s skies safe, secure, and moving.
We’re seeking innovative professionals who thrive in mission-critical environments and are excited to help shape the future of air traffic management. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to one of the world’s most complex and essential transportation systems, collaborating with leaders in aviation, engineering, data science, and systems integration.
At Peraton, you won’t just support the mission — you’ll help define it.
About the Role Peraton is seeking a Technical Writer to join our Telecom team in Bethesda, MD. In this role, you’ll play a key part in translating complex technical systems into clear, actionable documentation that supports system integration, deployment, and operations across the NAS.
What You’ll Do
System Integration & Design: Document the integration of diverse telecommunications technologies — including radio, fiber, and cloud — into cohesive, operational systems.
Testing & Validation: Develop and execute test documentation, support troubleshooting efforts, and verify that system interfaces meet functional and performance requirements.
Network Deployment: Create clear documentation supporting the installation, configuration, and upgrade of hardware, software, and network components.
Technical Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive system design, installation, and operational manuals to support engineering, operations, and stakeholders.
Why Peraton You’ll be part of a team working on technology that directly impacts public safety and national infrastructure — with the scale, complexity, and purpose that few roles can offer.
