
Salesforce Product Manager (Part- Time)

Climate Lead is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Salesforce Product Manager to support the development of specific features in our Salesforce ecosystem. This Part-Time role serves as an important link between our Philanthropic Advising team and our implementation partner, Exponent Partners. In partnership with the Associate Director, Business Systems, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of feature development for prioritized projects. A primary focus of this role is evaluating Climate Lead’s growing workflows and strategically thinking about how our technology tools can better support our Philanthropic Advising team with their business processes.
Managerial Responsibilities This role does not have any managerial or lead responsibilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Project Management
Directly manage a portfolio of Salesforce implementation projects through the full project lifecycle including: gathering feedback, preparing requirements in user story format, scoping, implementation, testing, deployment, documentation, and training. This portfolio will be focused on supporting our philanthropic advising team and will include delivering enhancements to engagement tracking tools, revised donor journey tracking, optimized prospect research and segmentation functions, and streamlined data entry and bulk loading tools.
Project management operations
Manage project scope and budget, anticipate risks, identify opportunities, and lead proactive solutions to keep project on track. Develop and maintain project plans in Asana.
Documentation & Communications
Manage project documentation, communications, deliverables, and partner engagements.
Solution design collaboration
Collaborate with implementation partner on solution design to ensure technical builds meet business needs.
Business Analysis & Requirement Gathering
Facilitate discovery sessions with stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable requirements.
Documentation
Document technical process workflows and research solutions needed for system enhancements.
Requirements & Backlog
Prepare user stories, acceptance criteria, process flow diagrams, and other requirement documentation needed to communicate needs and scope to implementation partner.
Prioritization
Manage prioritization and backlog of user stories for specific projects.
Stakeholder Communication
Proactively communicate with internal project stakeholders.
Primary contact
Serve as primary point of contact for implementation partner for assigned projects.
Work assignment & approvals
In partnership with Associate Director, Business Systems, assign work items to implementation partner and approve time estimates.
Quality Assurance & Training
Test changes delivered by implementation partner.
Internal testing & UAT
Lead internal testing of newly developed features and coordinate User Acceptance Testing.
End-user documentation & training
Partner with Salesforce Administrator to develop end-user documentation and lead training sessions to ensure high system adoption.

Experience: Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with Salesforce NPSP (Nonprofit Success Pack), prospect research tools, and relationship mapping tools
Project Leadership
Proven track record of managing external implementation partners and delivering projects on schedule.
Communication
Ability to bridge the gap between technical developers and non-technical relationship managers.
Analytical Rigor
Strong experience in data architecture and creating reports/dashboards that reflect sophisticated business KPIs.
Self-Starter
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote environment while managing multiple competing priorities.
Education & Experience
3-5 years of Product Management or Business Analyst experience, specifically within nonprofit fundraising or philanthropic advising for High Net Worth Individuals (HNWI) preferred
Salesforce Experience
2+ years of experience working with Salesforce platform required
Nonprofit Experience
Experience supporting technology at a nonprofit organization is required.
Tools
Experience with Salesforce NPSP, Salesforce Activities, prospect research tools, and relationship mapping tools preferred.
Climate Lead is headquartered in San Francisco, CA. There is an option for this position to be remote for candidates based in the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area.
Part-Time Salary Range
$50,000-$60,000
