We have a field-based career opportunity as a Specialty Development Executive to help identify and shape opportunities for our continued growth across the Hereditary Cancer segment within a territory that covers Boca Raton, FL to Naples, FL. The ideal candidate will reside within the territory. Travel within the designated territories is a minimum of 60%. Some overnight travel for client visits, sales events, and trade shows is required.
Position Summary As a Hereditary Cancer Specialty Development Sales Executive, you are responsible for effectively communicating and selling the benefits of Labcorp Genetics and Laboratory Corporation of America (LCA) commercial products to Hospitals, Oncologists, Surgeons, Genetic Counselors and regional reference laboratories within the assigned territory.
Responsibilities
Meet and exceed sales goals and achieve maximum sales growth in the assigned territory
Build and execute an annual business plan with quarterly updates
Cold call and build a sales pipeline to support ongoing revenue goal achievement
Accurately forecast and maintain a sales funnel aligned with a 90-day quota
Effectively manage travel logistics to maximize sales productivity
Attend local and national professional trade shows and events as requested
Learn and sell Integrated Oncology focused products and services
Communicate value propositions to all targeted customers and prospects
Perform in-services, training and implementation with pertinent personnel and physician staff
Collaborate and actively contribute to new business opportunities with LCA counterparts
Update all relevant customer account information into CRM Data Management Systems
Provide ongoing customer support, education on focus products and market updates for current customer base
Education/Qualifications
Minimum of Bachelor's degree
Minimum 5 years of outside sales experience
Experience in the healthcare or clinical laboratory/medical device industry
Existing relationships within Hospitals, Oncology Clinics, Surgeons, Genetic Counselors
Prior experience in oncology, surgery, hereditary cancer, and total office calls
Proven success managing a book of business
Strong persuasiveness, influencing and closing skills
Ability to understand complex scientific literature and use clinical data as a selling factor
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Excellent time management and organization skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Annual Base Salary: $100k-$130k (USD). This position is eligible for bonus and/or commissions under the applicable variable compensation plan, based on performance metrics.
