Overview

The Tax Manager will play a pivotal role in corporate taxation and financial reporting, with responsibilities centered on tax strategy, compliance, and value-driven financial planning for corporate clients. Responsibilities

Prepare, analyze, and optimize corporate tax returns and related schedules for entities including C-Corporations, S-C Corporations, partnerships, and private equity-backed structures. Develop and implement comprehensive business tax strategies to minimize liabilities, maximize after-tax profits, and ensure alignment with corporate objectives. Compile, review, and analyze financial statements to support tax reporting requirements and provide insights for management decisions. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws, regulations, and filing deadlines; monitor changes in tax policy that impact corporate clients. Advise on tax-efficient corporate structuring, acquisitions, reorganizations, and other transactions; support due diligence and post-deal integration from a tax perspective. Collaborate with internal teams (legal, treasury, accounting, and advisory) to meet clients’ financial planning and tax planning needs. Provide strategic tax consulting to optimize cash flow, credits, incentives, and depreciation strategies (e.g., Section 174, 168(k) bonus depreciation, Section 199 deduction, state conformity issues). Review internal controls related to tax processes and assist in the implementation of robust tax governance and ERP integration. Prepare and present tax-related findings and recommendations to clients and senior management. Qualifications

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with strong expertise in corporate taxation and financial reporting. Proven experience in corporate tax compliance, tax planning, and strategic advisory for diverse corporate client bases. In-depth knowledge of U.S. federal and state tax regimes, accounting for income taxes (ASC 740), and financial statement analysis. Ability to translate complex tax concepts into actionable business strategies for executives and stakeholders. Strong communication, project management, and client-facing skills. Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to staying current on tax regulations and industry trends.
