
Overview
We are seeking a talented individual to join our Strategic Bid Center team at Mercer, a Marsh business. This role will be based in any metropolitan market. This is a hybrid role that requires working at least three days a week in the office.
Responsibilities
Take a strategic, client-centered approach to every opportunity
Project manage proposals/presentations aligned with client requirements and company branding
Develop/drive internal work plans based on external deadlines — and hold pursuit teams accountable
Research/draft responses to proposal questions in collaboration with content managers and subject matter experts, as needed
Own master documents and incorporate multiple rounds of edits through completion
Partner with a graphic designer to develop engaging deliverables
Ensure internal procedures and best practices are followed for each project
What you need to have
Strong writing, editing and project management skills
Education: BA/BS (preferably in business, journalism, marketing, English, communication, business writing)
Experience: 7+ years of investments and proposal writing experience
Technology: Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams
Ability to manage competing deadlines and adapt to shifting priorities
Close attention to detail, without losing sight of the bigger picture
Comfort with ambiguity and frequent change
High sense of personal accountability and self-motivation
Ability to work collaboratively and be driven by group feedback
What makes you stand out
APMP CF or higher Certification
Experience working in the investments industry
Prior project management experience with RFI/RFP/DDQs, regardless of industry
A thirst for knowledge and passion for trying new things
Familiarity with SharePoint, QorusDocs or online bid procurement tools (such as Ariba)
