Overview

The Jacksonville Jaguars are a professional football team and a member of the National Football League’s AFC South Division. Summary of the role: Assists the Jaguars public relations department in strategic communications related to the Jaguars, Jaguars Foundation, Bold Events, Daily’s Place, TaxSlayer Gator Bowl, Iguana Investments and related business endeavors. Contributes to proactive media relations for programs and initiatives including football communication, fan experience, community relations, ticketing and sponsorship. Provides administrative support for the public relations department as needed. Job Responsibilities

Compile and distribute news clips from all forms of media to relevant publics daily. Regularly update and work with the team’s NFLOMG website. Assist in content creation for the @JaguarsPR Twitter account. Assist the PR department with all publications, including the weekly release. Collaborate with the Director of Business Communications on projects throughout the season, including the Fan Information Release for home week games. Oversee logistical setup and tear down of recurring press conferences and special events. Transcribe and distribute daily press conferences. Distribute weekly statistics to coaches, scouts and media. Manage communications originating from the JaguarsPR email and maintain media distribution lists. Set up press box seating and related materials prior to home games. Support department mailing efforts and assist with credentialing processes. Assist with media coordination and spokesperson availabilities at community engagements and sponsor events. Assist with statistical research using tools such as StatsPass, TruMedia and Pro Football Reference. Job Requirements

Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality, accurate work within deadlines. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and experience with Adobe InDesign and Photoshop. Strong organizational and time management skills; able to prioritize in a high-energy environment. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across the organization and externally. Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university. Ability to maintain confidential and/or proprietary information. Ability to work irregular hours, including weekends, evenings and holidays as needed. Strong initiative and problem-solving abilities.
