
Our client, a famous fashion brand, is seeking an Assistant Technical Designer to join the team on a contract basis in their New York office!
Responsibilities
Develop and edit tech packs, documenting fit comments, specs and bill of materials. Manage flow of information related to fit process - tracking samples, update tech log, sending fit list, and communicating with factory counterparts. Translate fit corrections to patterns and/or comments. Organize and maintain data history (samples and patterns). Help with conducting quality checks on garments. Assist with data entry and organizational tasks as needed. Requirements
1+ experience as a technical designer within technical design intern or assistant level. Skilled with Adobe Creative Suite and
CAD software. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, PLM. Detailed orientated with emphasis on consistency and accuracy of product measurements. Proficient in measuring in inches/millimeters. Has the ability to understand designer’s jargon across several clothing categories and translate those concepts to tech packages to be interpreted by factory workers.
