Job Description
The Senior Content Writer-Copywriter plays a key role in developing high-quality and engaging content that educates, informs, and inspires our target audience. The Sr Content Writer-Copywriter’s work will enhance brand reputation, establish thought leadership, and drive loyal readership and Hoag community engagement.
Responsibilities
Craft compelling content for diverse platforms, including websites, blogs, social media, emails, podcasts, and videos.
Conduct thorough research on healthcare topics and trends, collaborating with industry professionals to ensure accuracy, relevance, and insight.
Write clear, engaging copy that reflects our brand voice and style, refining brand tone guidelines for ongoing improvement.
Spearhead comprehensive content strategy, overseeing planning, creation, distribution, and analysis for optimal performance.
Lead creative initiatives to shape innovative marketing campaigns, ensuring alignment with brand objectives.
Optimize content for search engines (SEO) to increase organic traffic and improve rankings.
Proofread and edit content to ensure grammatical accuracy, clarity, and adherence to brand guidelines.
Stay updated on industry regulations, compliance requirements, and best practices to ensure content meets legal and ethical standards.
Monitor and analyze content performance using analytics tools, identifying areas for improvement in content strategy.
Stay current on emerging healthcare trends, patient needs, and industry advancements, generating content ideas to remain ahead of the curve.
Lead the content strategy and planning sessions with creative design and marketing teams, bringing creative ideas and unique perspectives.
Assist in managing and updating website content, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and a positive user experience.
Perform other assigned duties.
Qualifications Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, communications, healthcare, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
Minimum of 7 years’ experience in copywriting and content creation.
Proven work experience as a Content Writer, with a strong portfolio showcasing your writing skills.
Excellent writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to convey complex healthcare information in a clear and concise manner.
Familiarity with SEO principles and best practices to optimize content for search engines and increase organic traffic.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail.
Preferred
Knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance requirements, and privacy guidelines is a plus.
Knowledge of healthcare terminology, medical concepts, and patient care practices to effectively communicate healthcare information to diverse audiences.
Strong research skills to gather information from credible sources and ensure accurate and up to date content.
Proficiency in using content management systems (CMS) and familiarity with basic HTML formatting.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple content projects simultaneously.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Passion for healthcare and a genuine interest in staying informed about industry trends, advancements, and patient needs.
