Your New Role...

Marketing Manager

on the North America Retail Marketing team at Warner Bros. Consumer Products, focused on the Amazon business. Reporting to the VP of Retail Marketing and working closely with the Amazon Sales Director, this role is responsible for managing, planning, and executing retail marketing initiatives to drive e-comm growth at Amazon across a vast IP portfolio (DC, Harry Potter, Animation and more) and all product categories. While digital-first, this role also supports select physical and/or hybrid retail activations in partnership with Amazon and licensees.

Your Role Accountabilities Strategic Planning and Business Development

Drives development and implementation of marketing strategies for media/advertising and marketing plans, ensuring customer engagement, brand awareness, high velocity traffic, purchase intent and conversion

Drives annual budget planning aligned with goals and initiatives, oversees day-to-day management of requests, monitors spend, PO management

Establishes Amazon-specific priorities marketing calendar with quarterly updates

Sets marketing and merchandising timing and requirements

Leads cross-divisional planning for big initiatives (theatricals/evergreen franchise events, etc.); manages marketing and advertising components of programs

Lead marketing programs for retail shopping events, including but not limited to Prime Day, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday, with execution across digital-first and select physical or hybrid retail moments as applicable

In coordination with Sales Account Director, creates tentpole merchandise moments on Amazon platform

Drives partnership with internal global Amazon account leaders across WBD/GBE to identify and activate best practices to support growth

Develops strategic marketing launch plans and go-to-market initiatives for new ecomm platforms (e.g., QVC/HSN), as assigned

Leverages digital marketing expertise to support larger marketing team needs across accounts

Serves as Amazon marketing expert, educating licensees and internal teams where needed

Marketing & Advertising Implementation

Serves as key marketing liaison to Amazon corporate team and licensees to ensure outstanding execution/implementation of retail priorities

Leads media agency in planning and executing advertising components with Amazon Marketing Services, focusing on optimizing spend

Partners across internal teams and licensees to identify best optimized marketing placements to inform negotiations (e.g. toy book, sponsored ads)

Leads creative asset strategy and brand storytelling with oversight of creative agency for brand store creative, ASIN curation, Licensee PDPs A+ Content, Marketing Co-op and Paid media placements

Shares assets and best practices across global Amazon accounts and North America 3P eCommerce accounts

Drives creation of eComm PDP toolkits, including agency management, toolkit scoping and development, distribution, licensee training. Monitors conversion rate for PDPs always looking for improvements

Partners with internal business units including Home Entertainment, Theatrical, WBIE, and DCE on cross-category merchandising for priority franchises/brands

Manages components (brand title and/or marketing) of Amazon studio swing presentation and licensee meetings. Contributes ideas to new business pitches (marketing ideas) for Amazon and category and licensee updates (marketing) for Amazon and other retailers, as assigned. Actively pitches as assigned

Identifies and maximizes opportunities to drive profitable growth via new tactics with Amazon Advertising and external digital advertising, fits to strategic initiatives (i.e. Twitch, Live, Posts, SLP, SBV, etc.)

Develops best practice strategies for partners to use for Amazon paid advertising

Oversees performance reporting, management reporting, regular updates on advertising performance; activates business priorities based on analysis

Marketing Consulting and Approvals

Collaborates with licensee marketing teams to execute co-developed marketing programs for retail

Reviews retail marketing and facilitates routing of assets for franchise approval

Responsibility and Success Measurements

Flawless execution of marketing programs that support sales strategies

Analyzes reporting to measure marketing ROI, using data and analytics to track advertising programs, PDP conversion, monitoring and optimizing ACOS with agency

Tracks performance of Marketing programs for Amazon; develop insights and next steps

Leads the development and execution of a testing roadmap. Test, measure, learn, share for Advertising and Marketing initiatives

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum 5 years of experience in ecomm, retail marketing, digital marketing in the entertainment and/or consumer goods required

Previous Amazon experience preferred

Entertainment studio experience a plus

Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification

Bachelor’s degree in digital advertising/marketing, marketing, business or related field or relevant work experience required

Current digital advertising certification a plus

Knowledge/Skills

Strong knowledge of marketing principles and retail landscape required

Clear understanding of Amazon’s platform-specific digital marketing tactics and emerging advertising opportunities

Self-starter with sound organizational and collaborative skills, with the ability to see a project through from inception to execution with effective follow up

Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment: capacity to engage, willingness to learn and to share ideas, positive attitude

Fiscal responsibility and accountability for retail planning and deliverables

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and reporting applications

Flexible approach to shifting priorities; able to manage multiple assignments with exceptional project management skills

Strong collaborative approach with proven interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with all levels

Passion for pop culture and the Entertainment Licensing industry

Pay Range: $91,000.00 - $169,000.00 salary per year. Base pay is one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package. Other rewards may include bonuses and incentives. This role complies with local compensation disclosure requirements where applicable.
