
Overview
Mills James is seeking a skilled Graphic Designer and Show Operator to support live events, virtual events, and internal creative projects. This role includes designing and operating PowerPoint and Keynote presentations, creating print and digital signage, developing logos and branding assets, and producing proposals and marketing materials. The position works closely with clients, producers, and internal production teams and requires on site travel to events to create, edit, cue, and operate presentation content.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or four years of relevant experience/training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Strong design skills with advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
Experience building and managing complex presentations in PowerPoint and Keynote
Ability to design for both digital and print formats; basic motion graphics knowledge is a plus
Excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to adapt to changing priorities, workflows, and deadlines in a fast paced environment
Valid driver’s license; ability to obtain a U.S. passport and medical card if required
Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
Submission of a design portfolio is required for consideration
Responsibilities
Design and integrate graphics for live and virtual events, ensuring alignment with brand standards, event goals, and messaging
Create presentation templates, visual concepts, and content for use across events and experiences
Travel to event venues and corporate offices to collaborate directly with clients, producers, and production teams
Operate, cue, create, and edit presentation content during live events
Set up and tear down assigned equipment while on location
Organize, archive, and maintain presentation files and design assets within the graphics library
Work efficiently under tight deadlines in a live event environment
Collaborate with the marketing manager and content writers to develop proposals, marketing materials, and internal design projects
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to presentations or show operation
