The 3PL Logistics Outside Sales Representative is responsible for driving new business growth by identifying, developing, and closing contract warehousing and integrated logistics opportunities for FW Logistics. This role manages the full consultative sales cycle, including prospecting, discovery, on-site meetings, facility tours, solution development, proposal presentation, negotiation, and close, with a focus on long-term, multi-year customer relationships. The role works closely with warehouse operations, leadership, and pricing teams to translate customer supply-chain needs into executable, profitable logistics solutions, while maintaining an active sales pipeline and expanding accounts through additional services and volume growth. This position is ideal for a self-directed sales professional who understands longer sales cycles, values operational credibility, and can translate customer needs into executable warehouse solutions.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

Business Development & Sales Execution

Identify, target, and develop new customers requiring contract warehousing and 3PL solutions

Lead the full sales cycle: prospecting, discovery, site visits, proposal development, and close

Sell multi-year warehousing and logistics solutions, not rate-based freight transactions

Build relationships with C-level executives, supply chain leaders, and operations managers

Solution Design & Internal Collaboration

Partner closely with warehouse leadership, operations, and executive teams to design scalable solutions

Translate customer requirements into operationally sound and profitable proposals

Coordinate facility tours, operational reviews, and onboarding alignment

Market Intelligence & Account Growth

Identify vertical opportunities (food & beverage, CPG, manufacturing, chemicals, etc.)

Monitor market trends, customer pain points, and competitive positioning

Expand existing accounts through additional services, locations, or volume growth

Performance & Accountability

Consistently meet or exceed new business and revenue targets

Maintain accurate pipeline and activity tracking within CRM

Represent FW Logistics professionally at customer meetings and industry events

Requirements

Proven success in B2B sales within 3PL, warehousing, logistics, or supply chain services

Experience managing longer, consultative sales cycles

Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills

Ability to work independently while collaborating cross-functionally

Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regionally

Preferred

Experience selling contract warehousing or dedicated logistics solutions

Familiarity with food-grade, temperature-controlled, or hazmat environments

CRM experience and comfort managing pipelines and forecasts

Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or related field
