The District Sales Manager (DSM) is responsible for driving sales performance and expanding an established medical device territory focused on chronic pain treatment. This role owns full territory management, including business development, case coverage in the operating room, physician relationships, and patient support throughout the care journey. This is a replacement role with existing business and significant growth opportunity. The DSM will also play a key role in helping to select and develop an Associate Inside Sales (AIS) partner once onboard. Territory & Structure:

Covers Syracuse, Utica, and Binghamton (candidates may live anywhere within the territory) Two-person team: DSM + Associate Inside Sales (AIS) Reports to a Regional Sales Director Fully remote/field-based (no office requirement) Commission-only role after ramp

9-month guaranteed salary bridge

during onboarding and training Uncapped commission; earnings scale with volume Existing territory producing ~$1.6M annually with growth potential to ~$3M Realistic long-term earnings ~$200K+ with upside Commission earned from day one; percentage increases with sales volume Monthly vehicle reimbursement (~$400/month, varies by location) plus mileage Extensive training provided (remote and onsite) Key Responsibilities:

Territory & Account Management

Own and grow assigned territory to meet or exceed sales targets Develop and execute strategic business plans for account growth Prospect new accounts and convert opportunities quickly Expand existing business and counter competitive activity Clinical & OR Support

Provide complex case coverage in the operating room Work shoulder-to-shoulder with surgeons and clinical staff Manage inventory and assets to ensure flawless case execution Educate and support patients throughout the entire treatment journey Partner closely with physicians to qualify, prepare, and support patients pre- and post-implant Maintain patient relationships through stabilization and outcome optimization Support onboarding and development of associate sales partner Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure exceptional customer and patient experience Administrative & Reporting

Utilize CRM and internal systems for patient tracking, reporting, and forecasting Provide market insights, customer feedback, and sales updates to leadership Plan and execute local educational programs and sales events Candidate Profile:

Required

Bachelor’s degree

or

equivalent experience 3+ years of medical device sales experience with documented success Proven hunter with strong new business development skills Operating room sales and case coverage experience (highly preferred) Demonstrated history of meeting or exceeding quota Sales awards (President’s Club, Rookie of the Year, etc.) strongly preferred Stable career progression (not a job hopper) Valid driver’s license and ability to travel ~50% within territory Highly Desired Background

Trauma, implantables, pain management, neuromodulation, spine, or interventional specialties Experience calling on surgeons, interventional radiology, or procedure-based physicians Competitive reps with strong sales instincts and resilience Candidates motivated by growth, territory building, and long-term upside Not a Fit

Candidates without OR exposure or hands-on procedural sales experience Skills & Attributes
