I am Jon Hoeger, serial entrepreneur and Co-Founder of Saalt. I have launched successful businesses, navigated challenges, and guided Saalt through changing markets. I am seeking a partner who wants to learn entrepreneurship by working closely with me to vet and invest in ventures and manage personal affairs. You will gain exposure to deal flow, acquisitions, leadership, and high-level strategy. You will not be an assistant; you will be a force multiplier who helps shape the direction of Saalt and its future ventures. Who You Are

When asked to pursue a potential acquisition, you identify listings, sign NDAs, analyze P&L, and prepare a diligence summary. You are a Fact Finder:
You value data, can read legal documents and financial statements, and assess investments for risk and opportunity. You Have No Ego:
You will take on any task that frees the leader to focus on strategy. What You Will Do
Your job is to protect the founder’s time, optimize present and future initiatives, and execute the vision. You will work across three areas: 1. Saalt & Business Operations (The Maximizer)
EOS Optimization:
Improve impact across the organization, ensure meeting agendas, prioritize the founder’s time, manage tasks and emails, and hold the founder accountable for critical deliverables. Special Projects:
Lead ad-hoc initiatives and experiments that don’t fit into a specific department. Product Development:
Assist in new product work, coordinate with manufacturers, engage in design thinking, and manage samples, testing, and prototyping. Information Synthesis:
Attend high-level meetings, take notes, and distill key implications for the founder. 2. New Ventures & Investments (The Future CEO)
Deal Flow:
Screen acquisitions or investments, perform initial financial analysis and risk assessment. Due Diligence:
Research markets, review financials, coordinate checks with bankers and attorneys, and build summaries. Build New:
Analyze opportunities, prioritize ideas, and rapid-test which should move forward. Incubation:
Turn napkin ideas into concrete project plans (market research, MVP definition, budget). 3. Life Operations (Chief of Life)
The Life Admin Stack:
Manage home, contractors, personal investments, taxes, vehicles, school registrations, and complex travel for the family. Gatekeeping:
Manage inbox and calendar, prioritizing what requires the founder’s attention and handling tasks independently when possible. Qualifications
Business Acumen:
Ability to read a balance sheet and income statement, tell a narrative, ask smart questions, and suggest improvements. Knowledge of Gross Margin, Contribution Margin, EBITDA, and Net Income is expected. Tech Stack:
Proficient with project management tools; quick to learn new software. Proficiency with Google/Microsoft Suite (especially Excel) and AI tools for workflow efficiency. Local:
Based in the Treasure Valley (Boise/Meridian/Eagle). This is a high-trust role with Saalt’s office near downtown Boise and the founder’s home in NE Meridian. Experience:
5–10 years in roles such as founder, project manager, business analyst, or operations leader seeking to build in a less traditional environment. Adaptability:
Comfortable with rapid change and shifting priorities; able to handle multiple commitments without getting flustered. Extreme Integrity:
