BackdPayments is hiring a high-performing Business Development Representative (BDR) to drive the pipeline for a fast-growing B2B fintech platform transforming how businesses offer payment terms and financing. This is not a high-volume, script-driven SDR role. This role is designed for BDRs who want to operate in complex, consultative sales motions, engage senior decision-makers, and generate pipeline that converts into real revenue. You will work closely with sales leadership and gain direct exposure to advanced B2B sales strategy, with a clear path toward a closing role for top performers. What You’ll Do

Own top-of-funnel pipeline generation across SMB, mid-market, and enterprise B2B accounts Build and manage a targeted outbound motion within: Distribution Manufacturing B2B Retail Other high-volume B2B industries Prospect daily using a multi-channel approach: Cold calling (primary channel) LinkedIn and social selling Account-based outreach strategies Research, segment, and prioritize accounts by: Identifying ICP-fit businesses Scrubbing and enriching account data Building targeted prospecting lists Engage senior stakeholders, including: CEOs, CFOs, CROs, CMOs Leaders across Finance, Sales, Marketing, Credit, and eCommerce Book qualified meetings that convert into meaningful revenue pipeline Maintain disciplined CRM hygiene in HubSpot Continuously test, refine, and optimize messaging, talk tracks, and outbound sequences Represent BackdPayments at trade shows and industry events How You’re Measured

You are measured on impact and outcomes, not vanity activity: Qualified meetings that convert into pipeline Engagement with the right personas and buying roles Contribution to real revenue opportunities Strategic account targeting and CRM discipline What You Bring

2+ years of experience in a BDR/SDR or equivalent outbound role Comfort with daily cold outbound activity and account-based prospecting Experience selling complex, consultative, or technical products Proven ability to engage and influence C-suite and VP-level stakeholders Strong multi-threading and account-level selling skills Ability to research a business and articulate how a solution applies to their commercial goals Motivation to grow into a closing role and take on larger deal responsibility About BackdPayments:
