Overview
Smith & Wesson is seeking a highly motivated and creative Graphic Design Intern to join our team for Summer 2026! This internship opportunity will provide hands-on experience and exposure to our creative design processes. This opportunity will allow you to work alongside our Graphic Design team to develop high-quality, creative, and distinct digital solutions. This position provides creative support for daily production to fully integrated campaigns, contributes to group projects, and works independently on assignments when needed. This is a hands-on experience, teaching Photoshop, top notch retouching skills, the ability to manipulate key artwork quickly with meticulous attention to detail, change direction easily, push creativity and expand software skills to higher levels, as well as have a solid understanding of both print and digital media. Internship Dates: May 18th-August 14th Location, Schedule, & Compensation
In-office/non-remote Maryville, TN 40 hours per week Monday-Friday Paid Education and Experience
Currently enrolled in an associate or bachelor\'s degree program in Graphic Design or a related field. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Work on brochures, flyers, newsletters, signs, and other graphic materials for print and electronic distribution Assists with special projects and events Produces graphics Learn how to work with tight deadlines, handle multiple projects, and manage time General Office Duties: Assists with distribution of signage/marketing materials Obtains estimates from printers and other specialty advertising companies Completes appropriate internal paperwork for purchase orders, processing invoices, etc. NOTE: This list presents only the principal duties of the position and is not intended to be comprehensive. Adobe Photoshop Adobe Creative Suite Adobe Illustrator Strong communication skills Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time in front of a computer. Ability to move about facility on regular basis to perform physical activities, such as lifting heavy equipment up to 50 lbs. unassisted, bending, standing, climbing or walking. Within the Smith & Wesson manufacturing facility, employees may be exposed to manufacturing noise, airborne chemicals, fine particulate dust, ambient temperatures, and industrial lighting. Work environment is similar to most manufacturing operations. May be exposed to excessive noise, temperatures, hazards around moving machinery, work in confined quarters, exposure to vibrations and shop lighting, continuous exposure to hot temperatures, may be humid, odors, dust, and occasional exposure to chemical hazards.
