About The Role

Position Summary: As an Inside Sales Representative at Sulzer, you will assume a multifaceted role that encompasses customer service, sales, and project coordination. This position is pivotal in building and maintaining essential relationships across the organization, connecting with ISR peers, Area and Regional Sales Managers, Operations teams, and our customers.

In this key role, you will be instrumental in facilitating efficient, consistent, and clear business processes among various departments including sales, operations, and customer support. This central position offers a unique opportunity to interact with all aspects of the business, making it an ideal role for candidates who are experienced or new to the industry but are eager to learn and grow.

The ISR position is not only critical for our day-to-day operations but also offers the chance to deeply understand and engage with the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and Power Generation industries, providing a robust platform for professional development and career advancement.

Responsibilities

Customer / Account Management: The ISR supports the ASM by managing critical data in the company’s ERP business system. The ISR serves as the customer’s primary contact. Create and manage customer information in the company’s ERP business system.

Onsite/Offsite Support: Support customer visits onsite and offsite occasionally. Provide project status updates and serve as liaison between operations and customer for updates regarding deliveries, customer service issues, etc.

Proposal Management: The ISR is responsible for the generation of proposals and serves as liaison between customer and operations for any commercial and/or technical clarification. Utilize CRM system to communicate details of opportunities with the ASM and integrate with quotes from the ERP system. Monitor and review project financials to ensure accuracy and approve final invoicing.

Proposal Execution: Execute the proposal generation process within the ERP system. Revise or create proposals based upon inspection results or other in-process work scope changes. Ensure all proposals are reviewed per Sulzer’s internal delegation of authority. Manage storage / archiving of proposals and related information.

Project/Commercial Management: Facilitate the completion of projects from the point of purchase order receipt to final invoice approval. Manage receipt, review and processing of all purchase orders for assigned ASMs and business units. Manage release of project scopes and hand-offs to operations. Coordinate and manage resolution of project issues and questions. Facilitate communications between the customer, ASM and operations. Perform invoice review and proforma approval.

Quality / Continuous Improvement: Develop and maintain skills and procedures required for generation of high-quality proposals. Support operations quality improvements.

QESH (Quality, Environmental, Safety and Health): Follow and comply with Sulzer’s QESH regulations. Takes personal responsibility for own and co-worker’s safety. Identify problems and areas of improvement and notify management. Ensure customer visitors have received safety induction, are signed in and have required PPE during shop visits.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree.

Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel).

Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interface with personnel from diverse backgrounds at all levels of the organization.

Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.

Time management skills.

Understanding of basic financial concepts.
