The Strategic Account Management organization is a highly skilled forward-thinking sales team serving our largest and most complex customers, while also managing our highest valued vaccine contracts. The customers we call on include Health Systems, IHNs, Medical Groups, PBGs, FQHCs and state Awardees. Across different countries, our teams are exploring new technologies to protect people and promote healthy communities. Responsibilities
Lead assigned accounts, providing overall account leadership to cross-functional internal and external team members. Assume responsibility for designated strategic customers and manage each as a business partnership on behalf of Sanofi. Build a strategic account plan for assigned accounts and deploy the necessary Sanofi resources to drive value co-creation and meet/exceed revenue targets.
Develop and manage a network of trust-based relationships with external stakeholders to generate revenue through genuine partnerships within Sanofi’s largest and most complex customers. Understand the customer’s business, pressures, drivers, priorities, challenges and opportunities. Maintain knowledge of the customer’s business model, strategic goals, and position within the healthcare environment, including value-based care, competitors, and financial levers.
Identify and qualify high-value opportunities by working with the customer to develop growth strategies, align teams, and build executive relationships with internal cross-functional teams. Conduct business coaching and strategy sessions with account teams to facilitate co-creation of customer value and ongoing account growth. Serve as the central point of contact for account planning, strategy, collaboration, resource allocation and customer engagement.
About You
Basic Qualifications
Minimum required skills & experience: Bachelor’s degree required
5+ years of field sales or account management experience
Internal candidates with a consistent history of performance and demonstrated capabilities may be considered with less experience.
Broad understanding of health system business, decision-making processes and market trends with a track record of accessing C-suite to D-suite decision makers
Ability to translate health system market knowledge into strategic plans with internal stakeholders
Ability to execute tactical initiatives, provide ongoing feedback, and prioritize multiple projects
Broad field sales experience with success working with P&T committees, decision makers and influencers in Hospitals, Health Systems, IHNs and other large-organized customers
Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills
Self-directed and organized with strong execution and planning skills
Adaptability in a shifting environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must possess a valid driver’s license and be eligible for insurance coverage; able to safely operate a vehicle
Travel
Ability to travel up to 75% of the time to customers, conventions, training, and other internal meetings.
