Position Overview Ruach Resources is seeking a highly organized and dependable Parts Specialist to establish, manage, and maintain parts inventory for our new shop and heavy equipment operations at the pit. This role is critical to keeping our fleet and equipment running efficiently by ensuring accurate inventory, timely ordering, and effective distribution of parts. This position requires a balance of computer-based inventory management and hands-on field support, including occasional parts runs to various company locations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable working independently, communicates well with mechanics and operators, and takes pride in keeping systems organized and accurate. Key Responsibilities Inventory Setup & Management
Establish and organize parts inventory for the new shop. Set up and maintain inventory systems for heavy equipment parts used in pit operations. Maintain accurate inventory counts, locations, and part descriptions. Track usage, shortages, and reorder points to prevent downtime. Perform regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
Parts Ordering & Vendor Coordination
Order parts, supplies, and materials as needed to support fleet and equipment maintenance. Communicate with vendors and suppliers to ensure correct parts, pricing, and delivery timelines. Verify received parts against purchase orders and packing slips.
Parts Distribution & Tracking
Issue parts to mechanics, technicians, and operations personnel as requested. Track parts usage by equipment, job, or department as required. Maintain accurate documentation and records within inventory and fleet management systems.
Heavy Equipment Support
Manage parts inventory specific to pit and heavy equipment operations. Coordinate closely with mechanics and equipment operators to anticipate needs. Ensure critical parts are stocked to minimize downtime.
Computer & Administrative Tasks
Utilize inventory management and fleet software to document parts, usage, and costs. Maintain organized digital and physical records. Generate reports or updates for management as requested.
Parts Delivery & Field Support
Occasionally run parts to different company locations, job sites, or pits as needed. Maintain professionalism and clear communication when interacting with team members in the field.
Organization & Shop Support
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient parts area and storage spaces. Follow “clean as you go” practices to support safety and efficiency. Support shop workflow and assist maintenance personnel when needed.
Qualifications & Skills Organization: Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Computer Skills: Comfortable using computers, inventory systems, and basic software. Communication: Good people skills; able to communicate clearly with mechanics, operators, vendors, and management. Work Flexibility: Willing to work behind a computer screen or run parts as needed. Independence: Ability to work independently while supporting a team environment. Problem Solving: Ability to anticipate parts needs and resolve inventory issues proactively. Reliability: Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation. Working Conditions Combination of office/shop environment and occasional field work. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand, bend, and move throughout the shop and storage areas. Willingness to work overtime as needed to support operations.
