Overview

The Business Development Specialist / Appointment Setter plays a vital role in driving company growth by generating, qualifying, and nurturing new business opportunities. This position is responsible for outbound and inbound outreach, building rapport with prospective clients, identifying needs, and scheduling qualified appointments for the sales team. The role also supports broader business development efforts by tracking leads, managing CRM activity, and collaborating with the operations and marketing teams to support marketing and sales initiatives. Strong communication skills, organization, and persistence are key to success in this position. Duties

Serve as the first impression, representing Jacobs Financial Services with professionalism, enthusiasm, and persistence Prequalify prospects to determine if our services are a good fit, and schedule appointments from events or incoming leads Conduct lead outreach calls to re-engage prospects and secure appointments for the sales team (minimum of 100 calls per week) Confirm and follow up on all appointments for the West Michigan market Efficiently manage the Sales Team calendars, ensuring smooth scheduling and proper drive time Input prospect and client data into CRM (RedTail) daily Oversee the third-party confirmation system, addressing client and prospect needs Prepare sales files, including notes and folders, for upcoming appointments Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to ensure seamless client onboarding Maintain accurate records of interactions and appointments in the CRM Maintain accurate records of interactions and appointments for incoming VROOM and other digital leads Monitor the calendar daily and check for accuracy Monitor KPI tracking, including leads, stick ratio, and referral tracking Qualifications

Self-starter with a strong drive, resilient in the face of challenges and rejection Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and scheduling skills Strong communication abilities, with confidence in phone etiquette and rapport-building Emotionally resilient, able to manage challenging situations and feedback while staying focused on goals Skilled at multitasking and managing calendars for multiple individuals Previous experience in appointment setting or customer service is a plus Familiarity with CRM software (RedTail) is preferred but not required; training will be provided Passion for helping individuals navigate their retirement planning journey Job Type: Full-time Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year Commission opportunities: $25-$500 per opportunity. Ex. Reschedule appointments, Cancelled appointments, booking cold leads, booking lunch and learns, etc.
