We are seeking a
Customer Service Representative / Counter Sales professional
to join our team at our
Sulphur, Louisiana branch . This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with customers, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in delivering knowledgeable, solution-oriented service. The CSR / Counter Sales person is often the first point of contact and plays a critical role in driving customer satisfaction and branch success.
Key Responsibilities
Greet walk-in customers and handle counter sales transactions Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, in person and by phone Process payments, invoices, and basic sales documentation Assist customers with product selection and provide technical or application guidance as needed Develop strong product knowledge to support sales and identify upselling opportunities Follow up on orders to ensure timely fulfillment and prevent delays Update inventory and order information using the computer system Investigate order discrepancies or errors and help resolve issues promptly Maintain a clean, organized, and safe counter and customer-facing area Support general warehouse or branch operations during slower periods as needed Ensure every customer leaves with a positive experience Experience & Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required Previous customer service, counter sales, or inside sales experience preferred Experience with hydraulic, industrial, or mechanical products is a strong plus Strong communication and interpersonal skills Comfortable using computers and basic business software Willingness to learn products, systems, and industry applications Dependable, team-oriented, and customer-focused Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment Ability to work well with others and contribute to a positive team culture
