The Activities Assistant- Part-time- supports the planning and delivery of recreational, social, and therapeutic activities for residents in a skilled nursing facility. This role helps enhance residents' quality of life by encouraging participation, promoting socialization, and supporting emotional and cognitive well-being. You Are Excited About This Opportunity Because You Will
Assist with planning, organizing, and leading individual and group activities (e.g., games, arts & crafts, music, exercise, social events) Encourage resident participation and adapt activities to meet varying physical, cognitive, and emotional needs Provide one-on-one activities for residents who are unable to participate in group programs Escort residents to and from activity programs as needed Assist with special events, holiday celebrations, and community or family programs Help maintain activity calendars, attendance records, and documentation as required Set up, clean up, and organize activity spaces and supplies Observe and report resident responses or concerns to the Activities Director or nursing staff Follow all facility policies, safety procedures, infection control guidelines, and resident rights regulations Qualifications:
High School degree required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required One year experience in a social or recreational program in a licensed health care setting preferred.
