Work under the direct supervision of the Manager assigned to the patient requiring interval and constant observation. Assists with the care of hospital patients by performing various routine patient care activities and related non-professional services. Provides interval and constant observation of patients. Demonstrates appropriate interval and constant observation intervention. Reports any changes observed in patient's condition, behavior and/or verbalization immediately to Registered Nurse/Manager. Collects and records data. Remains in visual contact with patient as required. In an emergency, uses phone system to call for assistance. Assists patients with the use of bedpan, urinal or to the bathroom if permitted. Gives, removes, cleans, and replaces bedpans/urinals. Qualifications
Education: High school graduate or equivalent. Experience: Healthcare related experience or education preferred. Licensure: N/A Special Skills: Shows maturity in interview process. References state applicant to be responsible and considerate, good communication skills. Must attain CPR certification before completion of orientation and maintain the certification.
